Scott Izzo, MPH, MA is a public health professional who graduated from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine with a Master of Public Health degree and an MA in Clinical Medicine. In that time, Scott worked for public health and emergency preparedness organizations in communities across Michigan. Today, Scott is working as the Community Health Director and Epidemiologist for District Health Department No. 2 in Northern Michigan as he has since 2020. This role allows him to provide epidemiological support to the health department as well as conduct communicable disease investigations, communicate important health information to the public, and manage staff in programs throughout the health department. Additionally, Scott is also the Lead Epidemiologist with MiThrive, a collaborative community needs assessment project for Northern Michigan, and the Northern Michigan Community Health Improvement Regions.
