Uduak Nkanga is the State Policy Specialist at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), where she leads work on 1115 waivers and their impact on health centers. She collaborates with states to track approved, denied and pending waivers, assist with federal public comment letters, and explore opportunities to leverage waivers for justice involved, maternal health, continuous eligibility, health related social needs, and more initiatives. Before joining NACHC, Uduak led a policy team in Texas on behalf of a maternal health organization, focusing on maternal health policy and state legislation along with the experiences of individuals living with HIV. She is currently pursing a Master of Public Policy (MPP) at Northeastern University, with the anticipated graduation in Spring 2025. Uduak specializes in navigating complex political landscapes, using data-driven insights, and advancing impactful, evidence-based policy solutions.
