Gerrard Jolly, MA, CDP, is Director of Career Advancement Strategies at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). He designs and develops leadership, workforce, and career advancement competencies and training programs and establishes and oversees partnerships to improve systems and approaches to effectively nurture, engage, and sustain the health center workforce. He was formerly the National Director of Community HealthCorps, a health care training and development program that annually placed 500+ individuals in community health centers to address social drivers of health for medically underserved areas. Before coming to NACHC in 2007, Gerrard used his experience as a national park ranger to develop community engagement, visitor experience, and volunteerism programs for the National Park Foundation.
Gerrard holds bachelor's & master's degrees in history from Alabama State University and the University of Akron (OH), respectively, with a minor in political science and concentrations in the African American civil war & civil rights experiences and Latin American history. He is certified in Mental Health First Aid and has earned Certificates in Nonprofit Management and Diversity and Inclusion, from the University of Washington and Cornell University, respectively. He is credentialed as a Certified Diversity Professional through the Institute for Diversity Certification.
