PSaA2 - Inflation Reduction Act and Revenue Impact: Planning for 2026

Session Description: Is your health center ready to estimate the impact of drug reimbursement changes starting in January 2026? The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) included several provisions related to prescription drug costs. Health centers across the country have already started to feel the impact of certain IRA-related changes. Still, the flagship drug pricing component of the IRA will begin to be felt by health centers in 2026 when Medicare begins reimbursing less for a slate of ten highly utilized drugs. This session will provide an easy-to-digest review of the central drug pricing provisions within the IRA, including an overview of the first ten drugs subject to price negotiation, and provide a step-by-step guide for evaluating how Medicare price negotiations will affect your health center’s 340B savings starting in 2026. The presenters will provide concrete guidance on how to model your future 340B savings based on your current program results and payer mix allowing attendees to leave this session with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop an impact analysis for their individual health centers.
